James Shull, a California fan artist, was active in the 1970s. His distinctive and well-executed art seemed like it appeared in nearly every major fanzine. He published the fanzine Crifanac and was co-editor of The Essence. He joined LASFS in April 1970.
After gafiating in the late ’70s, Shull worked for Marvel Studios and other animation companies, then became an Executive Creative Director for Walt Disney Imagineering, a job he held for 33 years, until retiring in 2020.
