Hartley Patterson, a British fan of both science fiction and gaming, published fantasy fanzine Midgard, a Tolkien fanzine News from Bree, and Britain's second postal diplomacy fanzine, War Bulletin (which he took over from its original editor Dave Berg), plus another diplomacy zine, Queen Victoria's Funeral. He lived in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire.
