The Fannish Frisian Freedom Front (4-F) was created by George Flynn for obscure reasons in the early 70s to support the Highmore in '76 bid. At Discon II, wearing a bag over his head, Flynn read a statement in Frisian (a language closely related to English, and spoken by a half-million people in northern Netherlands, Germany and southern Denmark along the shores of the North Sea) supporting Highmore. He wore a SmoFF (Secret Masters of Frisian Fandom) button.
