Edwin Frederick De La Roi was a Nebraska fanartist recommended to faneds in MFS Bulletin 19 (February 15, 1943, p. 3).

During World War II, he did his fanac while serving in the U.S. Coast Guard as a Boatswain's Mate, 2nd Class. Walt Dunkelberger was the first to report to fandom, in Fanewscard 67 (September 22, 1944), that De La Roi's ship, the USCGC Jackson, had sunk in a hurricane, and he with it.
