ConFusion 101 was a convention held January 28-30, 1983, at the Plymouth Hilton in Plymouth, Michigan. GoHs: C. J. Cherryh and Bill Cavin. Toastmaster: Ted Reynolds. Chaired by Tara Edwards.

Larry Tucker's fannish video Faans premiered here.

The con occurred during the bidding for the 1985 NASFiC, and ConFusion was considered the “hometown” con for many of the Detroit in '85 bidders. In an audacious stunt, rival Austin in '85 bidders snuck into the banquet hall before dinner and put miniature Texas flags on every table plus the podium and cash bar.

See File 770 39, p. 16 for a con report by Robert Taylor.
