Carol Metcalf Ulf Stanton Pohl was an editor.

She married L. Jerome Stanton and later was the fourth wife of SF fan/author/editor Frederik Pohl. They were married in 1953, separated in 1977 and divorced in 1983. Together, the Pohls had three children, and co-edited several books.

Carol moved to Greece in 1976, and wrote a book for expats in Greece.
