Boskone 39 was a convention held February 15-17, 2002 at the Sheraton, Framingham in Framingham, MA. The GoH was Neil Gaiman, the Official Artist was Steve Hickman, and the Special Guest was Marv Wolfman. It was chaired by Pam Fremon, the Featured Filker was Tom Holt (who was unable to attend) and attendance was 1108 with 1266 total members.

There were two Boskone Books: Adventures in the Dream Trade by Neil Gaiman and Expecting Beowulf, a collection of two short novels by Tom Holt.

Terry Pratchett wrote a piece about Gaiman for the Boskone 39 programme book. It was later collected in his 2014 anthology A Slip of the Keyboard as “Neil Gaiman: Amazing Master Conjuror”.
