Billy Joe Plott, a fan living in Alabama, was active in the late ’50s and early ’60s. He was one of the founders of SFPA, gafiated and returned to fandom in 2012. He also was a member of the ISFCC, N3F, ALA-APA, SFA (of which he was secretary), and SFG.

He has also published Remembering Al Andrews and Letters from Lloyd Biggle under the Banshee Press imprint.

Perhaps inadvertently, he spread the Dave Locke death hoax in 1963.
