John Edwards was a UK pro and possibly fan briefly active in the 1930s. He attended the Third British Convention in London. According to Ted Carnell writing in The Satellite v2 #6:
Other authors arriving then were D. J. Foster, and Mr Edwards, whose initials and correct name I have forgotten.
An editorial comment by John F. Burke adds 'John, we think?'
If so, it's likely that this was the John Edwards who contributed three stories to Amazing Stories between 1932 and 1937, one of which, 'The Menace from Space', was reprinted in Tales of Wonder #4 in 1938. A fourth story, 'Universe of Babel', was original to Tales of Wonder #5. ISFDB says:
Bleiler Gernsback suggests that this is probably a British author and also notes that there were several men named John Edwards working at the time, but it is not possible to identify this author with any of them.
