Claude Held is a book dealer in Buffalo, New York. His interest in SF began in the 1930s, and he began selling SF magazines as a teenager. After serving in the Navy during World War II, he attended The University of Buffalo and opened his first book store in 1946.

Over the next several decades he sold SF books, magazines, and comic books from his store and via mail order.

He was a member of First Fandom and was elected to the First Fandom Hall of Fame in 2012.

His photo and a brief biography appeared in Bill Schelly's Founders of Comic Fandom (McFarland, 2010).
