(???? – )

Brian Miller was a fanartist from Glasgow, Scotland, active in the 1950s. He was a member of the New Lands SF Club and did the illos for the first issue of Haemogoblin, then a clubzine.

In a profile in Contact 8 (February 1957) Ethel Lindsay said:

When Eric Needham visited Glasgow, he said that Brian has the most fannish attitude of them all. Very true, only it is very difficult to lure him into active fandom. This applies to them all, because being so far away from other active circles, they cannot raise interest from contact. Brian is a very clever artist with a great taste for fantasy work.

When Matt Elder was hospitalised in 1955, Miller became one of the hosts of the New Lands group. Lindsay said:

His room has has even a wilder aspect, as he is an artist. So combined with the books, are paints and brushes, half finished paintings, a skull, two flatbeds, ink, pens, paper galore, and for some reason, a bottle and a mask hanging from a string across the room'[1].

The New Lands SF Club folded in 1957, but some members, including Miller, still saw one another occasionally.
