(???? – )

J. P Doyle was a UK fan from London active in the 1940s. He was a member of the British Fantasy Society (BFS), acting as its librarian from May 1943. As he lived in Teddington it's likely he was also a member of the Cosmos Club.

The British Fantasy Society Bulletin #8 reported his appointment to the librarian post, a role shared with Fred Goodier:

This is now in the hands of the new Librarians, who solicit enquiries from anyone interested. They hope to have an up-to-date catalogue ready for issue in the near future, in the meantime the original catalogue may be used as a guide. ... Incidentally Fred will also resume the issue of the fan-mag Chains as soon as arrangements can be made so anyone who wishes to be added to one of these chains had better tell him.

A year later the library was reported to be running smoothly despite illness with both librarians. However Doyle's fannish involvement does not appear to have outlasted the BFS.
