Scotcon was a proposed one-day convention to be held in Glasgow, Scotland in the mid-1960s. Donald Malcolm advanced the idea in the BSFA's Vector 32. He suggested that the members of the Caledonian SF Group 'might be a suitable nucleus for a committee' but felt he needed 'to have the support of at least 90% of the Scottish BSFA members' to proceed. He felt such a convention could attract an attendance of 40-50, perhaps including people from northern English locations such as Newcastle and from Ireland. His belief in the level of interest was presumably unjustified as the convention never happened. Had it gone ahead it would have been the first Scottish convention. Instead that honour goes to Faircon in 1978.
