Roger Earnshaw

Roger Earnshaw was a fan and collector from the London UK area. He was active from the early 1970s until his death. He was a chartered accountant by profession.

He had some involvement with fanzines from at least 1972 but was mostly known as a convention attendee. He was a regular at Eastercon and Novacon and often had memberships in Worldcon. He was a book collector and had many signed editions, some of them very scarce.

He was a quiet and seemingly somewhat shy man, always dressed in a suit and tie in an era when few others did likewise. He was known as a generous benefactor of TAFF, GUFF and other fan funds, usually attending fan fund auctions and bidding a significant amount for trivial items. He would often simply donate substantial sums.
