Halcon is a convention held in Halifax, NS, Canada from 1977 to 1987.
The first 'Halycon' was held in 1977, renamed in 1979 as Halcon 2 it ran annually to the last of the old series, Halcon 10 in 1987, sponsored by the Halcon Science Fiction Society.
In 2010 a new group started a new series of media/gaming conventions started with variant name Hal-Con 1, running annually in November, with attendance growing to nearly 10000 by 2017.
