1999 NASFiC Site Selection
Revision as of 12:50, 11 June 2023 by Leah Zeldes Smith (talk | contribs)
Site Selection for the 1999 NASFiC (necessitated by the victory of Australia in 1999 at the 1996 Worldcon) was conducted by LoneStarCon 2, the 1997 Worldcon in San Antonio, TX. (After the fiasco with the rushed 1995 NASFiC Site Selection at MagiCon in 1992, the NASFiC is now selected a year after the victory of an overseas Worldcon which makes a NASFiC possible.)
The bidders were Los Angeles in 1999, Phoenix in 1999, and Santa Clara in 1999. LA won.
