Larry Gelfand is a fan who was active in the Philadelphia and then the Boston areas where he was a member of PSFS and NESFA. He was one of the members of the Philadelphia in'86 worldcon bid committee and was responsible for naming the Millennium Philcon, the 2001 Worldcon in Philadelphia.
