| Wartime pename of Ackerman in writing for the Reception Center Alert and editing the Ft. MacArthur Bulletin ("that fan magazine that the Army pays for"), of which marked copies were distributed thru fandom. Some of the imaginary incidents reported were of fan interest, fannish names being employed: A sentry takes Pvt Earl Doubleton (from Singleton, of the pseuicide) for a ghost, etc. |
