Fandom in the United Kingdom, has a long and very rich history producing such luminaries in the field as Arthur C. Clarke, Vin¢ Clarke, and Peter Weston (England) and Walt Willis and James White (Northern Ireland).

The term anglofan used in Fancyclopedia 2 has dropped out of use, but shows how British fandom was viewed at the time.
