Sid Birchby

Sidney 'Sid' Leonard Birchby was a UK fan from London active from the 1930s into the 2000s. He was a member of the Science Fiction Association (SFA) and was a founder member of the British Science Fiction Association (BSFA).
Birchby had published letters in Astounding as early as 1935. He joined the SFA in 1937 and attended the informal meetings of London SFA members in Lyons Teashop and later in The Flat. He attended Bombcon in 1941 and remained an active (and anthologized) fan writer until at least the mid-60s.
His brother was John Birchby.
