David Brian Wake is a British fan and author who was chairbeing of the Birmingham University Science Fiction and Fantasy Society at the University of Birmingham. He has produced 18 plays since 1998, with two shows taken to the Edinburgh Fringe. Often performed at Eastercons, with actual rehearsals, they were a highlight of the con, and included The Audience Participation Richard III in 2005. He has also published five novels.
He co-founded New Street Authors with Andy Conway, a collective of Birmingham-based independent publishers.
