A mighty-thewed barbarian character created by Fritz Leiber and Harry Otto Fischer for a series of fantasy stories, beginning with "Two Sought Adventure," published in the August 1939 issue of Unknown. The “Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser” series is the quintessential Sword & Sorcery.
