A bid to host the 1974 Worldcon (to be called Unicon) and to be held on the campus of Columbia University in New York City. It was co-chaired by Brian Burley and Fred Lerner.

The competition was DC in '74 and (completely predictably) a rival New York bid called the NYCon 4 Bid. In early 1971 the New York in '74 bid withdrew in favor of the DC bid on the grounds that they could not guarantee that necessary construction would be finished in time. DC in '74 was the winner and went on to run Discon 2. See 1974 Worldcon Site Selection.
