(Did you mean Octacon, or a Irish, Denver, or Californian convention?)

This Octocon was a relaxacon held in October in Ohio from 1968 to 2002, for many years during the off-season in the summer-resort town of Sandusky, but in later years near Cincinnati. The con originated as a collaboration among fans in Detroit, Toledo, Cleveland and Cinti, but ultimately came under the auspices of the CFG. It was founded by Lou Tabakow, among others.

With 38 cons in 34 years, all apparently in October, the numbering is screwy.
