George Alwyn Airey was a fan from Leeds active in the 1930s.

He attended the 1937 Leeds Convention where he was appointed treasurer of the newly formed Science Fiction Association (SFA).

In the 1945 Directory of Anglo-Fandom his name is marked with an X, indicating 'his connection with fandom is known to be finally severed'.

However, in 1987 he was one of two veterans of the 1937 convention to attend Conception, a convention to mark its fiftieth anniversary.
