Evelyn Barrett

(1907–July 27, 1983)

Evelyn Barrett (born Snapp) welcomed scores of fans into her summer cottage on Indian Lake and Bellefontaine, Ohio, home in the early days of Midwestcon, feeding them and showing her vacation slides. She also went to Worldcons with her husband, Doc Barrett, whom she married in 1930. What her other interaction and interest in fandom or science fiction may have been, we can’t say.
