Lee Martindale is a Dallas-area writer who made her first professional fiction sale, to Marion Zimmer Bradley for Snows of Darkover, at the age of 43. Since then, her stories have appeared in numerous magazines and anthologies. Bard's Road: The Collected Fiction of Lee Martindale, a compilation of 29 of her short stories, was published in 2014.
She has served as toastmaster at a number of conventions, including Conestoga 6 (2002), MidSouthCon 28 (2010), Archon 37 (2013), MidSouthCon 32 (2014) and Windycon 46 (2019).
