Amazing Stories Quarterly was begun by Hugo Gernsback as a companion magazine to Amazing Stories. The editors were Gernsback (1928-1929) and then T. O'Conor Sloane (1929-1934).
Amazing Stories Quarterly published full-length SF novels that could only be serialized if published in Amazing Stories. Volume 1, Number 1 was dated Winter, 1928; and it was published until the Fall of 1934, for a total run of 22 issues. It was published in the large pulp format.
The issues of Amazing Stories Quarterly published in the 1940s and early 1950s were rebound issues of Amazing Stories and not a continuation of the original Amazing Stories Quarterly magazine.
