Ilona Andrews is a joint penname for the Texas-based husband-and-wife fantasy writing team of Andrew Beauregard “Gordon” Gordon (b. April 3, 1970) and Ilona Gordon (b. December 11, 1976), authors of the Kate Daniels series, launched in 2007, and others.
Ilona Gordon, a native of Russia, immigrated to the U.S. as a teenager, and the couple met while in college. Her husband was born in Florida, and grew up in the Appalachia region of North Carolina. He served four years in the United States Navy as a communications officer.
