Ruth F. Newbury, a fan from Portland, Oregon, was active in the 1940s and ’50s. She was a member of the Portland Science-Fantasy Society and served as the initial treasurer on the 1950 Worldcon, NorWesCon, but had to quit when her husband got a job in southern Oregon. She also belonged to the Contraterrans, according to the 1950 Fan Directory.
She pubbed a fanzine, INCINERATIONS -- from effigy with her husband, Forrest C. Davis, in 1950, from their Grape Press publishing house.
