(???? –)

Betty Berg (later Lockwood), a Baltiwash fan, published the fanzine Aardvark with Karina Boardman. She was a member of WSFA, serving as Secretary in 1974 and Trustee in 1973.

Betty was a second-generation WSFAn, the fanspring of Bill and Phyllis Berg, “born into the club,” as Chick Derry put it (WSFA Journal, May 1984). Joe Mayhew remembered her at his first club meeting in 1960, “curled up with Miss Cullen's scottie, MacDuff, under the old horsehair settee.” The club put her to work at Discon I in 1963, as George Scithers reported in his Discon I Guide, carrying masquerade contestants’ identity slips from the announcer to the judges.
