Toyboat is a hard rock filk band from the Chicago area.
They are;
- gundo (Daniel Gunderson) - guitar, vocals, keyboards, mandolin, harmonica
- Mike Nixon - guitar, vocals
- Jason Neerenberg - bass, vocals
- Raven (David Stowell) - keyboards
- Cathy McManamon - drums, vocals - 2012-present
- Eric Coleman - drums, guitar, vocals - 2007-2012
Tomboat[edit]
Tomboat is the combination of Tom Smith and Toyboat. (Basically, Tom gets to be Meat Loaf for an hour, minus the scarves and Karla Devito.) Their first appearance was at WindyCon 37 in 2010, then again the following year at Windycon 38. Their most recent appearance was at MidAmeriCon II. They were the Guests of Honor at Consonance 2019.

Random Fractions[edit]
There is also a spin off band called Random Fractions featuring Cathy, Jason and gundo. They started as 3/5s (of Toyboat), were occasionally 2/5s (when gundo wasn't able to travel). Sometimes they were 3/5s and a Chaser, usually when Amy McNally plays with them but that has also included Eric Coleman, Betsy Tinney, Leslie Hudson, and Alexander James Adams.
