Fandom Down Under (sometimes called Anzac or Australasian fandom, though not usually by its members), encompasses Australia and New Zealand. Fannishly, the term is somewhat like North America, with New Zealand in the Canadian role.
The FFANZ fan fund sends fans between New Zealand and Australia; GUFF, between Australasia and Europe; and DUFF, Australasia and North America. ANZAPA is the Aussie-New Zealand apa.
Australasia is sometimes considered to include not only Australia and New Zealand, but some neighbouring islands also. Amongst the authors of the anthology Cthulhu Deep Down Under was David Kuraria, who was born in the Solomon Islands and may have been living there when it was first published, although he has since moved to Australia.
