FilkContinental is a filk convention held annually each fall in Germany. The conventions have been held in youth hostels; from 2000 through 2012 they were held at the castle Freusburg near the city of Siegen. Many of the guests have been from North America.
The Freusburg changed management in 2013, and the new terms were no longer viable for the convention, so it skipped 2013. Starting in 2014, it has been held in the Jugendherberge (Youth Hostel) Wernigerode. In 2018 and 2019, when Kirstin Tanger could not chair the convention, an equivalent convention was held, with a different chair and different name but the same venue and general style.
In 2020 the committee held FilkC-ON-tinental, an online convention, using dedicated streaming and Discord chat.
