Mike Ward is a Bay Area fan who is married to fellow fan Karen Schaeffer. He went to MIT where he was a member of MITSFS, BoSFS, and NESFA. He promoted Damon Knight's Project Boskone, and worked on the MITSFS Index. He was one of the founders of PenSFA and of TAPA.
