Anne McCaffrey

(1 April 1926 -- 21 November 2011)

An American-born Irish pro writer, best known for her Dragonriders of Pern series. She was born in Cambridge, MA, but emigrated to Ireland in 1970. She was GoH at ConAdian, the 1994 Worldcon.
