Leigh Edmonds is a Melbourne fan. He found fandom in 1966, and in 1969, was recipient of the Melbourne Science Fiction Club Achievement Award. One of the organizers of the Tenth Australian Science Fiction Convention (Australia's tenth natcon), held in 1971. First winner of DUFF in 1974 and Australian administrator for GUFF in its first year, 1979. He has won four Ditmar Awards for fanzines and fan writing. He founded ANZAPA and has been a member of APA 45, SAPS, FAPA and Minneapa.

Leigh was married to Valma Brown until her death in 2023. He is a historian, holding a Ph.D. in history and a certificate in museum studies.
