Martin Deutsch was a long-time Baltimore fan who was married to fellow fan Shirley Avery. He was President of BSFS continuously from his election in 1980 until his death, and one of the movers and shakers when it came to the BSFS Clubhouse. He chaired Balticon 11. With Shirley, he worked and ran many art shows and was an integral part of the East Coast Floating Art Show Crew.
