Columbus, Ohio was the home of the Columbus Cavalry, and has hosted the Context, OVFF, and Marcon convention series for many years.
It was the proposed venue for the unsuccessful Columbus in 1985 NASFiC bid, and the unsuccessful Columbus in '69, Columbus in 1976, Columbus in 2007 and Columbus in 2008 Worldcon bids. They don't have much luck, do they?
