Cory Efram Doctorow is a Canadian author and journalist, who began publishing SF in 1990. He is co-editor of the weblog Boing Boing and is an activist in favor of liberalizing copyright laws. He has collaborated with Karl Schroeder and Charles Stross. A Place So Foreign and Eight More (2003) is a collection of his short fiction.
