A British-born fan who lived in New Zealand. He was a founding member (and Treasurer) of the Wellington SF Circle, a member of the SFCoL, and OMPA (OE). He published Meet, paraFANalia, Sizar, and Topee or Not Topee, all for OMPA. In the early 2000s, he published a website, also called paraFANalia, which is now archived on eFanzines.com.
He was most active in the late 1950s and early ’60s, but returned to active fandom in 1980 and attended the New Zealand Natcon Norcon I where he was reunited with fellow fifties fan Mervyn Barrett. For a time he was active in Aotearapa with his reactivated zine Sizar.
He was in the UK for a time and active in London fandom. Upon arrival in the UK in 1960 by ship, he was memorably greeted dockside by local fans carrying signs declaring "Ban the Burn."
After revenance, he was active through the 2000s.
