(Did you mean the Australian fan Dave Cohen?)

(ca. 1921 – ???? )

David H. Cohen was a Manchester fan active in the 1950s. He was a founder and secretary of the Nor'west Science Fantasy Club and chaired Mancon.

Cohen was already in touch with Frank Richards and A. E. 'Taffy' Williams when he was contacted by Eric Bentcliffe. The four met up in January 1951, with Cohen suggesting the Waterloo Hotel in Cheetham Hill as an ongoing meeting place. A newspaper advertisement drew in more people, leading to the birth of the Nor'west Science Fantasy Club.

He was a regular contributor to the Vargo Statten Science Fiction Magazine under the name of Harry Cohn.

When he joined the N3F, he was described in the N.F.F.F. Committeeman (October 1950, p. 3):

David H. Cohen—32 Larch Street, Hightown, Manchester 8, Lancashire, England. Clothing trade, 29, read stf 17 yrs. SFS of Gt. Britain. Amateur writer, corresponds. Willing to do correspondence for N3F.
