Donald Azelle Chappell, a fan active in the 1950s, was president of the Oklahoma Science Fiction Confederation, pubbed the fanzine Nite Cry and attended Oklacon.
He was born in Texas in 1927. He later lived in Tulsa, OK, and married Evelyn Dolores Chappell in 1947. They had two daughters and a son. They eventually moved to the Poughkeepsie, NY, area, and then to Tucson, AZ, where Don died in 2022.
