The Recluse was a 78-page, one-shot magazine "issued by W. Paul Cook, for his own amusement" in 1927. Cook was active in ajays.
It contained the original version of H. P. Lovecraft's "Supernatural Horror in Literature" and works by others of the Lovecraft Circle. Could it have been the First Fanzine? It was at least a paleo-fanzine.
