Joseph “Beak” Taylor was an early Toronto fan and founder of the Derelicts. He was one of the fans who put together the spur-of-the-minute Toronto in 1948 Worldcon bid, and was credited with producing the PRs and program book, for Torcon, the Sixth World Science Fiction Convention. He published Eightball as part of CAFP and Torque.
