Westercon 31 (called Westercone) was held June 30 - July 4, 1978 at the L.A. Marriott Hotel, Los Angeles. The GoH was Poul Anderson and the FGoH was Don C. Thompson. It was chaired by Ed Finkelstein and Mike Glyer, and the Toastmaster was Jerry Pournelle.
