Hugh Carswell was a UK fan from Belfast active in the 1930s. He was the director of the Belfast SFL, chapter #20 of the SFL. Novae Terrae #12 (May 1937) reported that the group had seemingly dissolved after Carswell joined the Royal Air Force.
He had apparently gafiated by 1951.
James White, upon learning of the existence of the Belfast SFL, attempted to locate him, but without success. Walt Willis wrote of his efforts to do so in his Fanorama column in Nebula.
