W. A. Deveraux (the A is possibly for Alan) was a UK fan from London active in the 1940s. He attended the Eastercon in 1944 and the Whitcon of 1948. Futurian War Digest #35 reported that at the end of the first day of the former:
Deveraux, Gillings & Akien decide that everyone must take everything much more seriously
... although it is unclear how seriously we should in turn take this.
He may also have attended meetings at The Shamrock and later The White Horse.
