The most well-known fan from the U.S. state of Vermont was Richard Bergeron, who published the first issues of Warhoon there before moving to New York. Fans seem either to be born there and leave or retire there and die. Exceptions are Fred Lerner, a retired librarian and bibliographer, and Brett Cox, teaching at Norwich University.

In 2020, the Vermont Sci-Fi & Fantasy Expo started up in Essex Junction, but it appears to be a gate show.
