Freddie Hershey (born Freda Edelstein, later Curtis, later Harby) was a Los Angeles fan, a member of LASFS in the 1940s and ’50s. She was a founding member of the Outlanders, club secretary and an editor of their clubzine, The Outlander. She attended the first Westercon in 1948, and chaired Westercon 3.
She was married to Outlander Alan Hershey from 1941 until about 1951, and then to another LASFan, Hal Curtis, on February 28, 1952. They were married until at least the mid-1960s.
She later married Donavan Harby and they spent the rest of their lives in Hawaii.
